Practice the real games of Magnus Carlsen — the goal is to memorize every move he played, then reproduce them from memory.
The 3-step method:
- 1Study the moves — Open Watch to auto-play the game, or Manual to step through at your own pace. Focus on what Magnus played and why.
- 2Memorize — Go over the critical moves until you can recall the sequence without looking.
- 3Take the test — Launch Test mode. Play what Magnus played; the opponent responds automatically. Two wrong attempts and the correct move is shown.
Why this works:
- 🧠Builds pattern-recognition and memory muscles — the same way masters train.
- 🔍Sharpens analysis of deep middlegame and endgame positions.
- ♟Teaches Magnus's style by playing like him, not just by reading about him — learning by doing.
